We're looking for a shop manager who wants a piece of the business
Reliable Steel Traders is a small steel supply and fabrication shop in Port Coquitlam. We have more work coming in than we can run properly, and we need someone who knows a fab shop inside out to take the floor.
We're already set up to bid on real work. We're prequalified with a major national contractor, registered on SAP Business Network for federal CanadaBuys tenders, and listed on Thomasnet and MFG.com. We're in good standing with WorkSafeBC and fully insured. Getting jobs in the door is the part we've got covered. What we need is someone to run them.
This isn't a salaried job. You'd take a share of the shop's monthly profit, and once you've shown what you can do, you earn shares in the company over time. The better the shop does, the more you make.
You'd be a good fit if you:
- have run a small fab or steel shop, or been the lead hand who kept one moving
- can still weld and fabricate when a job needs it
- can quote, cost a job, deal with customers and get invoices paid
- know CWB practice and shop safety
- have customers of your own you could bring along
