Purpose of Job:
The On-Boarding, Training & Quality Assurance Coordinator builds a skilled, confident, and customer-focused custodial workforce. This field-based role leads employee onboarding, delivers hands-on cleaning and Health & Safety training, coaches employees in real time, and conducts quality assurance inspections to ensure BEST’s cleaning standards and contract specifications are met every day.
Responsibilities:
Deliver classroom, practical, and on-the-job training, including all mandatory Health & Safety training (e.g., WHMIS);
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled quality inspections of washrooms, entrances, corridors, eating areas, and public spaces;
Observe cleaning practices to confirm approved procedures, cleaning frequencies, colour-coding, chemical usage, and equipment standards are followed;
Produce a weekly Quality Dashboard for the Site Lead covering areas inspected, compliance rates, deficiencies, training completed, and recommendations;
Skills Required:
Education & Experience:
2+ years of experience in custodial, janitorial, or facility services, including training, quality assurance, lead hand, or supervisory experience;
