Introduction
Jim Pattison Subaru Coquitlam is seeking a full-time Car Jockey to support our sales department. If you’re detail oriented and looking to build a career in the automotive industry, this is the role for you.
Location: Surrey, BC
Schedule: Full-time, permanent (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Compensation: $19 per hour
Reports to: Sales Manager
About the Role
We’re looking for a dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented Automotive Lot Attendant to join our dealership team! In this hands-on role, you’ll be essential to our lot presentation, making sure our vehicles always look their best.
A Day in the Life
- Keep our vehicle inventory clean, organized, and sharply presented through exterior washing and interior detailing
- Safely move, arrange, and relocate inventory and guest vehicles around the dealership
- Take clear, appealing photos of pre-owned vehicles and help post them online
- Promptly report any vehicle or property issues and ensure tools, equipment, and cleaning supplies are handled safely
- Maintain strict confidentiality of company and customer information while helping foster a supportive, positive work environment
What We’re Looking For
- A valid BC Driver’s licence and a clean Driver’s Abstract are required
- Ability to comfortably drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- A friendly, approachable personality
- Highly reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- This is a physically active role that involves:
- Frequent walking throughout the dealership and lot
- Walking or standing for extended periods
- Regularly driving vehicles
- Washing vehicles, including handling various cleaning products and frequent bending, crouching, and reaching
- Spending significant time outdoors in all weather conditions, including sun, rain, wind, snow, cold, and heat (conditions are monitored for safety as needed)
