About Marpole Physiotherapy Clinic
Marpole Physiotherapy Clinic is a well-established, multidisciplinary physiotherapy and wellness practice in Vancouver, BC, in operation since 2005. Our clinical team includes physiotherapists, kinesiologists, registered massage therapists, and acupuncture/TCM providers, working together to deliver patient-centred, evidence-based care. We’re looking for a motivated kinesiologist to join our team and help our patients move and feel better.
Position Overview
The Kinesiologist will work alongside our physiotherapy team to assess patient function and deliver individualized exercise and rehabilitation programs for a general community patient population, including orthopaedic, post-surgical, occupational, and injury-recovery caseloads. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with a schedule arranged around the successful candidate’s availability and clinic needs. Please note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship or relocation assistance for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct kinesiology assessments and functional evaluations for patients referred by clinic physiotherapists or other providers
- Design, implement, and progress individualized exercise and rehabilitation programs based on patient goals and clinical findings
- Support functional capacity evaluations and occupational/return-to-work assessments as needed
- Collaborate closely with physiotherapists, massage therapists, and other clinic staff on integrated patient care plans
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting programs to ensure safe and effective outcomes
- Educate patients on injury prevention, movement mechanics, and self-management strategies
- Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with clinic policies and applicable professional standards
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and patient-focused clinic environment
Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, or a related field
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK), or equivalent professional body
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience with musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, or post-injury populations is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and educate patients
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable with clinic scheduling and documentation systems (training provided)
