Job description:
Raven Supply · Richmond, BC · Full-time, temporary (approx. 13–14 months) · In office, Monday to Friday
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year, based on experience
Start: mid-November to early December 2026 ·
Term ends: January 2028
About Raven Supply
Raven Supply is a Richmond-based supplier of hydronic and low-carbon heating solutions for commercial and residential projects across the Lower Mainland. We're a small, close-knit team where the office runs the business: our Office Manager keeps the books, the suppliers and the people moving.
The opportunity
Our Office Manager is going on maternity leave, and we're looking for an experienced bookkeeper and office lead to step in and own the role for about a year. You'll start with a paid handover of several weeks alongside our current Office Manager, so you'll know our systems, suppliers and month-end routine before you take the keys.
This is a real seat, not a placeholder. You'll report to our Operations Manager, prepare the financials we review at our weekly meetings, and be the go-to person for the team's day-to-day questions. Strong performers will be considered for an ongoing role with Raven when the term ends.
What you'll do
- Run full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks: accounts payable and receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare monthly financials (balance sheet, profit and loss, and supporting reports) for management review
- Process semi-monthly payroll and handle remittances and related filings
- Create purchase orders, invoices and packing lists in QuickBooks; track inventory and prepaid accounts
- Monitor job and product margins and flag discrepancies early
- Verify documentation and prepare payments and disbursements
- Maintain accounting controls and recommend improvements to policies and procedures
- Support year-end preparation and work with our external accountant
- Keep the office running: supplies, kitchen, vendors, filing, and reception coverage
- Answer and route customer calls and support the team with admin as needed
What you bring
- 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping, including hands-on QuickBooks experience (required)
- Payroll experience in Canada, including source deductions and remittances
- Comfort preparing month-end financials and reconciliations on your own
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Organized, discreet with confidential information, and calm when several people need something at once
- Experience in construction, trades, wholesale or distribution is a strong asset
- Bookkeeping certificate or progress toward a CPA designation is an asset
What we offer
- $65,000 – $75,000 per year, paid semi-monthly
- Extended health and dental benefits after three months
- Fit for Life Fund: $500 a year toward your health and fitness
- Raven Giving Fund: $250 a year to donate to a non-profit of your choice
- Paid vacation, paid statutory holidays and five paid sick days per year
- Paid training, plus professional dues covered for any designation the role requires
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm: no evenings or weekends
- A paid, structured handover with the person who knows the role best
- A small team where your work is visible and valued
- Consideration for an ongoing role at the end of the term
- Free parking at our Richmond office
Other Benefits:
- Casual dress
- Dental care
- Discounted or free food
- Extended health care
- Flexible schedule
- On-site parking
- Wellness program
