Original job description

Job Description

Are you a people-oriented, coffee and coffee loving person?

We are currently looking for a Part-Time Barista to join the team at JJ Bean Burnaby Heights (4299 East Hastings, Burnaby).

No experience required: we train successful candidates and promote from within. We look for keen, motivated learners who love people and coffee and bring a positive attitude to each day. An open/flexible availability is valuable. Willingness to work both in front of house and back of house is a big asset.

JJ Bean Burnaby Heights currently operates 6:00am-9:00pm weekdays and weekends.

How To Apply

Deliver your resume with cover letter in person to Patricia at JJ Bean Burnaby Heights, or apply here through 86 Network. Be sure to let us know why you think you’d be a great fit!

Working at JJ Bean Coffee

JJ Bean exists to honour people through great coffee, service, food, and spaces. We believe that everyone who takes part in the journey of coffee - from farmers to baristas - deserves to be fairly rewarded for their work.

We are committed to compensating our staff well above industry standards. Our “levels” system gives all of our café staff the opportunity to increase their wages as they improve their barista skills and coffee knowledge.

In addition to hourly wages, we offer medical benefits and generous staff discounts. After one year of employment, all employees are eligible for a wellness plan that enables them to pay for fitness, education, and general wellness courses.
