This position provides an opportunity to pursue a career focused on excellence in teaching, curriculum design, and educational leadership in a professionally oriented engineering program with strong industry connections.
The successful candidate will be expected to engage in educational leadership activities, including curriculum development, teaching and learning innovation, and the development of new or revised courses aligned with evolving industry needs. Contributions may include advancing experiential learning opportunities, such as field-based instruction or design-focused courses, and supporting continuous improvement of the undergraduate curriculum. They will also be expected to teach across the undergraduate Mining Engineering program. They will bring expertise in surface mine design, orebody modelling, and the application of geological models to mine planning and engineering decision-making, and will teach courses covering these areas. They will also teach technical communication and professional engineering practice, and lead the development, implementation, and ongoing delivery of field-based programming, including associated curriculum development, partnership building, and program coordination.
In addition to teaching and educational leadership, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to service activities within the Department, Faculty, and University, as well as to the broader academic and professional community.
